I`ve got 130 mig and it`s been a good little budget machine for the last 4yrs. I use boc argoshield. When shroud is spotless clean it produces nice
welds but after 5mins when shroud is dirtier it`s nowhere near as good till I clean everything up again. Have gas between 6 and ten. Do all cheap migs
do this?
Alex
Use anti spatter spray in the shroud after you have cleaned it out....spatter sticks to them after you have scraped them ....new one won't until
you start poking screwdrivers/files side cutters up the spout.
But you really are better off with a "real" machine such as a Cebora with euro torch etc.

When i used to do a lot of welding at work i used to dip the hot shroud in a antispatter wax
would would last a lot longer than the spray stuff. Should be able to get it from any good welding supply shop
Thanks guys
Was looking at Craftmig 180 by Cebora but was wondering why it is cheaper than most other 180 migs. Is it because it don`t have a copper wound
transformer. Triton. would you say that model was a "real" mig.
Alex
anybody any comment on Cebora craftmig 180?
Alex
If it has an aluminium coil I would be wary if you were going to use it a lot. It's not a problem for the amount of use a hobby builder would expect. Cebora are a well respected make and I have used a couple and found them perfect.
