Haven't looked at the link as I am at work, but powder coating is so cheap anyway that DIY doesn't make sense to me.

To get it done properly (remember the degreasing is critical!) is almost certainly cheaper than diy.

For complex parts I have found I can get them coated for less than it would cost me to paint them!!!

(Other big plus is the coaters are 2 miles away and on-route to work!)

Nat, dont suppose you could get a quote for a full chassis could you ........

cause i saw that link and started thinking about doing my own car !!!!!!!!

A full chassis will cost you about £150 to get powder-coated in a single colour.

I'll get quote next time I'm there Mike, but they don't do blasting, so it would need to be derusted first.

Those deckstands I did were £20 for 4, which is cheaper than I can paint them

I'd guess at £100 ish cash but we'll have to see.
