i got a 135 clark one and it works just fine. Not a bad buy IMHO, considering the price.

i would say all you ever need is a mig 90 for work up to 4mm.

I've got an old Clarke 130EN Turbo, and it works great. I've done my whole frame and chassis with it without problems. Tons of penetration if you go slow, even in heavy 3/16" plate. The Clarke 160 has significantly more power than mine, so it should be excellent for a build!

I have one and it is an excellent hobby welder for the price, did my entire chassis without a hitch, iirc it comes with a proper regulator for big refillable bottles so if your planning on using the small throw away onesyou will have to buy a the regulator for that, iirc they are about a tenner from machine mart.

If you check Northern Tools Ebay site you will get the same welder for £159 plus 15 quid post.......be quick as they will go!

I have a 151TE Turbo and it's perfect for locost work! It will weld whatever you throw at it steel wise, and has lasted both my uncles and my abuse!
