Just come back from the weekly shop and Tesco's are selling off 1200W "patio" heaters that are only £7.50 reduced from £30.00.

They are like a big security light with an infra red tube.

Felt they could be a good way of quickly adding heat to the garage during the winter. They are for external use but probably fine inside if sensibly mounted.

Guess not all stores will have them. Ours (Crewe) had 5 or 6 left.

Every little helps.

In case someone misses out.. I find that a normal 500W halogen light provides enough heat to get the chill off, and provides loads of light..
