We've just got another Lincoln Electric V405 Invertec, to replace the one that was burnt in the fire.

Very nice bit of kit.

I've been looking on ebay recently, would love one, but hard to justify costs against the use it'll likely get....

Loads from China on there - not sure of the quality though?? long way to go to complain, that's for sure!!

Been looking at those chinese ones also, seems they sell loads of them but I can't find anyone who actually has one and can tell anything about the quality, or show some welds done on alloy with them....

seems strange.

Hi Thomas

I bought one of the Calvinx group buy AC/DC Tig's 12 months ago, they are badged as Greenbird but i believe that they are identical to the Mitac ones sold on E bay by "shop-river"

I'm very pleased with mine but to be honest haven't used it a great deal and have mainly done a few practice runs with it, perhaps one of the other group buyers can shed a bit more light.

There have also been a few posts recently about Rehmann Tigs that are sold on ebay but most tend to be DC only but they do have the advantage that they are from within the EU and the carriage charges are reasonable.

Hope this helps

Frank

I have one of these its Chinese and I think its great, some of the torch parts were wrong when I got it but these were cheap to replace locally.

I guess the same brand or design at least must be sold in the UK?
