How to Tell if it's Paint or Powder Coat

Is there any way to establish what a coating is?

you won't find brush strokes or bristles in the power coat.

Neither will you with sprayed paint.....

Powder coat usually looks "thicker"... but thats about it....

Id try attacking a hidden area with paint cutting compound ( possibly t cut ) .

I would expect it to 'Polish ' paint but not powdercoat.

Weather this is true or not I dont know maybe someone could let me know.

easy to tell rub some t-cut on it if it makes a mark on the cloth its paint eg.red paint will make the cloth red ,powder coating will not come off with t-cut.
