A centronics port I imagine, normally with spring ears on the side to hold it in. LPT on PC to printer.

Converters to exist but they're not very successful.

I was going to say get a new printer....
- But no, honestly, pci card is the best way fwd for that.

Unless ofcuase its time for new printer anyway.

Mind you, i bought our last printer specfical because it had a paraellel port as well as usb.
- At a time where usb print servers where as much as a printer, and i had a parallel one that worked just fine!

Now half the printers you buy have built in nic's!

Bought a cable from Maplins, works fine on laptop, its a good old trusty laser printer with a nearly new toner cartridge in it so you can see why we wanted to keep hold of it.
