Hey guys,
Just after a bit of IT assistance!
Just bought 900 POSTAGE PRINTER ADDRESS LABELS 50 A4 x 18 Per Sheet on eBay (end time 23-Mar-11 21:21:11 GMT) and I would
like to know what's the easiest way to print correctly onto all the individual boxes please?
Cheers,
M
Hi,
If you use MSPublisher, it will allow you to do this task.

when you get them through (i can just make out from the picture it mentions this) there will be an avery code, this is basically a template code you
can use in MS word, that will (or should) automatically set it all up for you
on the front of the packet, it looks like it says Avery is a trademark of someone, so there must be a code on the packaging somewhere. can't
remember how you enter it, but you can somehow

Word will do it too.

in my experience test it on one sheet first before printing loads, I dont know if people keep putting the labels back in the wrong box or something but last time i did labels (about 4 years ago), they kept going wrong, a bit of trial and error and it was fine though - you can just key in the measurments rather than the avery code, it takes longer but if you dont have the avery code, or your not confident they aren't jumbled up it works fine.
use a laser printer though as a normal printer you may struggle with ink drying time compare to printing time plus they never line up perfect in my
opinion.
good luck though.
other option is borrow a address printer from someone who has one.
i printed 5000 in a few hours for a job years ago.
i remember doing this about 15 years ago and vowing never to try again 'cus it war a pain int' arse.
I recently had another go and couldn't believe how easy it was now. as said got to label printing and put in the avery code
happy days
In word go to "tools" then "Labels" and look in "options" A4 & A5 Labels.
Looks like you have Avery J8161 label stock.

Would love to, but my version of windows doesn't have a tools menu and I've just spent about 20 mins in F1 help to try and find out why and also find a labels option to no avail...
Print to a regular piece of paper, lay it over the labels and hold up to the light. Then you'll see if you are going to hit the labels or not.
