Faulty Screen?
mookaloid - 17/10/11 at 08:23 PM

Can anyone assist with this please?

A green line running top to bottom of screen on a laptop.

I think this is a faulty screen but could it be a faulty graphics card or driver?

Thanks folks

Cheers

Mark

Not my Lappy - I'm just doing a memory upgrade for a friend and noticed the line

You may be ale to very very lightly twist the screen, that may get rid of the line. Be careful though!

As said though, it'll be the screen at fault.

could it just be the screen connector ribbon?

Looks like a screen fault to me, sorry time for a new one, or learn to live with it.

Got one of those down left hand side of our Samsung TV 2inch from side but doesn't always show on all channels' we've got used to it don't notice it much now.

dry joint on the board on the samsung telly look it up on youtube and there are loads of videos showing how to fix it. not sure about the laptop but the fact that its a whole row means that its most likely a cob failure.
