how do you get an @ sign on a laptop ???

help trying to use my laptop at home for emails so the missus sees me before 1 am each night and cant figture how to get the @ sign for the email addresses

Depends what type of laptop.

Some of them use the Alt Gr key instead of shift, especially if it is on a letter/number key.

You may also find it on the number two key, mine was hiding there until i changed the language from Yankee English to Queens English on the settings page !!

Common US keyboard setting - change to UK keyboard for proper symbol use.
