So... Who uses a MAC?

Who uses a MAC for normal surfing and email etc? I would like to get one and probably will. I did have one before but it had it's drawbacks. i have been looking at my brothers ibook and was blown away by the latest operating system and stuff that comes with all Mac's.

Hi mate,

i used to manage 500+ MACS for the biggest magazine company in Europe.

They are ACE make no mistake about it! They work 99.9% of the time, there are no virus threats, the applications look great and people actually 'think' about what the hardware and software should do.

You can't go far wrong if you just want to browse, type documents, photoshop etc - the only drawback is playing games :-(

The other thing that's hard initially is the lack of right click

If you need any software etc just drop me a U2U

I don't play PC games so i'm not worried about that but from what i have read you are dead right, they do work properly and you don't have to worry about if this works with that etc, everything works straight out the box!

Hi Andy,

I use a G5 Tower and a G5 Imac every day for work ( Printing company) and they are both excellent. They are certainly pricey but worth every penny if you ask me.

Go on.Buy one! You will never go back to a PC. :-)

Guy

I intend to!! I'm going for the MAc Mini as it does more than i need and with the new core processors it will be well fast enough. I will probably upgrade the RAM as it's a little light at 512meg shared!

The Intel based ones are now able to run Windows XP check here . If they get more mainstream the hackers will soon get more interested as they are doing with Linux.
