Converting M4p iTunes files to MP3
donut - 13/10/06 at 04:05 PM

Is there any software out there that can convert M4p or M4a iTunes audio files to MP3? iTunes won't let you convert their files to MP3 and it's an arse to keep riping them to CD and then riping into Windows media player especially when it's just a few songs a month.

DMC is supposed to be able to convert mp4 to mp3

The plug in codecs for it are Here

I've used it for other conversion but not for mp4 myself.

Cheers

EDIT: The latest version only has a free 30 day trial on mp3 encoding, there is an earlier version where it's not time limited - I'll dig out the link.

Whoah, hold on - I mistook M4P for MP4,

Software download site for conversion of DRM-protected files to MP3

JHymn is the most popular

For any future downloads you can select to get them as MP3 anyway.

On iTunes Music Store go to > Edit > Preferences > Importing > Import Using > MP3 Encoder

Is'nt applicable for tracks already downloaded though.
