ady8077 - 21/1/07 at 10:38 PM

Hi all

i've just upgraded my broadband and got BT's free home hub, i'm only using wired connections, but the wireless light is always on. Is there any security risk?

I have one and to me its a backwards step in technology like lots of things these days

the phone is the worst thing ever

I was told by BT that it was mega secure and not to worry. Would still like to turn it off though.

throw it in the skip and get a proper router....

they are devils own devices and only really useful as a door wedge!

(Can you tell i don't like them? )

Agree completely with the above, but if keeping your BT wireless at the very least change the admin logon name and password

Cheers

This is the same BT that doesn't know its left hand from its right?

Sorry, call me an old cynic, but I wouldn't be using BT for anything if it didn't have a monopoly on providing the basic line (in my area at least)
