Wot software for ripping streaming music
Jasper - 3/10/08 at 01:24 PM

This question has been answered b4, but I can't find the thread.

I need a bit of software to record and save streaming music. Someone suggested one b4 which worked great but it's on a different PC and I can't remember the name of it.

Total Recorder... I've used it to record streaming radio channels.

Goldwave works well too. Select the input as stereo mix and away you go. Just be aware that if you make windows make any other noises (e.g. making an error) that'll get recorded too....

I've got Roxio media creator 10 (that's about the name of it) and it's got a sound recorder in there. There's an option to record "What u hear" which is the sound the computer is emitting, so if I'm recording a live transmission I just turn all the other sounds off (so "you got mail" beep doesn't interrupt) and it's worked fine with me.
