Not sure whether to laugh or cry at that!

The f..k?

quote:

Emma Chawner, who weighs 17 stone, claims it is not her fault she is obese, because she does not have time to lose weight.

But they're unemployed.

Perhaps if they stopped bloody eating for a minute, they might have chance to lose weight.

Both mother and father are ill and receive between them £14,000 per year in benefits. That's the equivalent of 1 person full time on the minimum wage and the other at 1.5 days per week on the minimum wage. They say that they "deserve" more. What have they done to "deserve" more than some couples who work for a living?

“All that healthy food, like fruit and veg, is too expensive.” is an interesting quote from the father.

The girl "claims it is not her fault she is obese, because she does not have time to lose weight." Really? I didn't realise being a student hairdresser took up so much time that you couldn't eat healthily or do a bit of walking.

The problem here seems to be the attitude of the family. We seem to have developed a society where people say "its not my fault" and then do nothing to help themselves. They then sit on benefits until someone else gives them a magical solution to their problem and bleet that their lot in life is not well paid enough. Sadly, I don't know of a reasonable solution to this malaise.

How can you be too busy to not do something? I can understand how you could be too busy to eat but not eating has to take less time than stuffing your face all day whilst watching Trisha.

My sister wound me up a couple of years ago. She said she couldn't loose wieght. I said "eat less, do more, simple." She said "its easy for you your not fat."
I wonder why...Oh yeah, cycling 100-200 miles a week...dead easy!

Of course if you believe Darwens theory, we should all encourage them if they aren't related to us. Sooner they kill themselves off, the better it is for our genes!

Wide angle lens time.

Bunch of salad dodgers, how can you claim Jobseekers and be too fat to work at the same time.

Cheeky lazy fat f**k I'm 17 stone and I've been in employment since 1998!

Take that minute eating your biscuit and walk up the bleeding stairs. Put your microwave upstairs you'll soon find time.

Give me the job of their benefits officer I'd make them do something. "We deserve more" more what? Pies? Lard sandwiches? Tents to make tops out of? Get a job you lazy cow you'll soon lose some weight when you're off your arse working.

I've heard of people who can't work cos of acne. ACNE! I've seen some right ugly people have jobs but some lazy sod with a pizza face stays at home? Where's my Visa for Canada?

Like Homer Simpson says
"dont try and youll never fail"

Ninehigh - 26/3/09 at 06:40 PM

Sorry for ranting but it's just more proof that the more you try and do things for yourself the less help you get. Do nothing and the government hands you everything, work hard and you get squat.

Actually i can understand the acne one. Some people can have chronic acne and it can really affect them. They get incredibly self concious ..... having said that, the number of people at that stage and the number who know a good scam is probably quite different.
