......................but going back to a point that I made some time ago......................why 4 seperate offences?
Can a court prove that he slowed down between each "offence".
If not then surely he has only comitted one offence of "speeding".
If that is not the case then he is being prosecuted for "passing though a speed camera in excess of the speed limit"......which as far as I
know is not an offence!!!
The law is ludicrous on this matter.
What would happen if 4 cameras were placed in quick succession on a 100m stretch of road.........is that still 4 offences or just one??????
The sooner this is challenged in court the sooner we can be rid of thieving robbing useless piece of crap speed cameras, and go back to an intelligent
system, i.e. police officers.
I had a friend who lost his licence in one weekend on a trip the the Welsh rally. He got flashed three times on the way up and once on the way back.
He took it to court and the judge combined the three offences on one day into a single offence so he got away with 6 points and a fine.
I suggested he say that he never went below the speed limit between the three cameras and so committed only one offence, not sure if that's
actually what he said in court or not though!
Sorry to go off on a tangent but do you thnk you could get away with speeding in a lowcost if you argued that the radar bear had bounced from the top
of one of the wheels and therefoe showed a higher speed than the car?
