I want to have a go at making a screen surround as in The Book. I can get square edge alloy channel locally but where do I get the rounded edge alloy extrusion as mentioned in the book?

what scuttle do you have ?

I tried as per the book, made up jigs from ply, etc and just ended up with a mess.

So, second hand westfield SE screen surround from Ebay for £15, new bit of laminated glass cut to size sorted me out.

My scuttle is book size, Westfield wide screen is pretty close fit but then my scuttle does taper in a bit.

Its not easy...... good luck

I used the Ali channel from B&Q and then polished it with a polishing kit off of EBAY.

Biggest problem I had was getting glass.

Lolocost or Great British Sports Cars or whatever they are called today
sold me both ally sections and both rubbers.

I was passing so I called in and they cut it to length while I waited. (+4)
