I need to figure out what to do to get my air filter under the bonnet. I was thinking of a normal bulge but that might make it hard to remove from the
car?
You can see the filter in the pic below abd it sticks out quite a way (about 4 - 5 inches i think).
Any ideas?
Get rid of the round dustbin that it sits in, and get a £30 cone filter from Halfrauds. This will allow you to put it in places you never dreamed possible....

With a cone filter on that, youll be sucking grannies and small children off the pathway as you drive through town!!

I have a cone filter on the tintop i could use but i was worried about failing IVA with it being louder.
+1 Cone filter.
Also, you might want to check your headlight alignment - I'm not sure that setup would be SVA compliant... jk

How about running a hose down to a filter mounted lower down, maybe away from the bonnet completely?

Just been out to look at the car and the whole inlet side up the the bend before the throttle butterfly sticks out so re routing isnt an option either
some kind of curvy side scoop like one of the aliens heads from Alien.
scratch built inlet plenum? I ditched the inlet plenum from my 960 engine as it was the size of a beach ball (srsly)
Hmmm, wouldn't it be nice to put an E-type bonnet on?
