The GRP bonnet doesnt quite fit the curves of the nosecone and scuttle and the right angle returns on the front and rear of the bonnet make it very
stiff. Would I be okay to dremmel them off and just use foam strip to pad it up to the correct level? How have other people done it?
That should hopefully make some sense to Aries / STM builders!
Yes you could do this. Although I just measured the thickness of the ressess in the nosecone and scuttle and sanded the bonnet (with a dremel drum attachment) to suit....

Thats what I've been doing but the bonnet is so stiff it wont really bend to the contours of the nosecone and scuttle. I might have one last fiddle tomorrow, if i cant make it work i'll just take the lot off
