Does anyone know the weight of a 15x6" TSW Razor wheel?

We weighed a 15 x 6 tsw blade wheels a couple of years ago and its probably similar at around 9kg, i reakon most these types of wheels are between 8 and 10 in that sort of size.

Hi stressy, was that just the wheel on its own? Sounds quite heavy to me considering there isn't much to the wheels, maybe they need to use a more heavy duty material to keep them so thin. I know OZ Superleggeras weigh less than 5kg and they look pretty similar to these but maybe materials makes up for the large weight difference.

Yes that was the bare wheel. believe me a 5kg wheel is LIGHT. The tsw i saw in rwd offset have a block of alloy inn the centreabout 2" thick at its maximum and abot 6 inches round. theres abou 2Kg already.

I measeued weights of minilights in 13x6 at just over 5Kg, revolution road wheels, same size, about 7.1Kg, race ones where a lot lighter but cant find remember specifically.

when i was trying to get some reasonable weight wheels i spoke to some common suppliers who told me a XXXX wheel would weight X Kg, however that was the minimum for that design, so, when i found said wheel and weighed it it was 3Kg heavier, why , beacause that was not the offset /fit they issue the weight for!!!!!

I only believe what i can weight. I now have a set of ford RS 4 spokes in mygarage ready for a021r fitment, wheels are about 4.5 KG. (very light)

For your info a very light road wheel and tyre, i.e. acb 10 on a caterham mag wheel probably weights about 10Kg, average road wheel off a mondeo / focus or whatever is gonna be 18-20Kg with tyre, i weighed a friend cossie wheel ( a big silly one) with a tyre at just under 27Kg!!!!!!

Thanks for the help, I've just got back from the Motorshow where i've seen a whole bunch of other wheels I like just to confuse the situation! Plus about 90% of the rally cars on show had OZ Superturismos!
