Fitting Windscreen

Hello All,
Just checking for advice. I've got a Formula27 with a carbon fibre scuttle/dash. I'm fitting a caterham windscreen and thinking of bolting it on through the carbon fibre into an aluminium backplate. I reckon I need some thing between the carbon fibre and the metal parts, so plan to use neoprene (old wetsuit) just to avoid any excess stress. Any comments?
So the sandwich would be:
Nut, Washer, Aluminium plate, neoprene, Carbon Fibre, Neoprene(?), Aluminium Stanchion, bolthead.

Pu the Ali inside and that will be fine

All done and dusted. Makes one hell of a difference. Now for the wipers and washer..
