Wrapping her body all over with shiny vinyl
Mr Whippy - 10/10/12 at 01:49 PM

Her being the car I like the idea of using full body vinyl rather than the bother and expense of a respray, plus it should add a massive barrier to the elements even reaching the paintwork. I’ve done quite large sections of vinyl as stripes etc and it really was a doddle. Prob is they were not close to being wide enough to cover a car unless done in 2 foot strips!

Anyone found a supplier who can supply full width rolls and reasonable prices, plenty that take the pi$$ for something so simple

Oh and I don't mean my Landy, that's brush painted with garage door paint

Cheers

I could never find anything quite wide enough either, have resigned myself to doing it in two halves and covering the join with a stripe if it shows :

Thats the company we buy our vinyl from for our recovery trucks, ive got to wrap a isuzu nqr crew cab 7.5 ton this week, we use the high quality 3m stuff but their own brand stuff is cheaper and almost as good they also do the 3m carbon and their own carbon effect stuff which is good

Not quite as cheap as star vinyls, but perhaps a second option?

Do you have compound curves to wrap? If so cheap vinyl can often be very hard to work with.

No it's as big a disapointment as the rest of the thread.
