In the process of rebuilding a old sylva striker that been sat unfinished in a barn for 15 years.
The fiberglass body work isnt in bad condition concidering but has gone dull and flat in a few places.
Whats the best way of refreshing the paint. Ive tried T cut and elbow grease but this dosent seem to do that much.
I dont have a buffer and a little unsure about how to use cutting compound.
Any ideas
Cheers
Chris
Get yourself some Farecla polishing pastes, an
electric buffer, and a plant mister... They are the bees knees, and th erindustry standard for finishing/ploishinbg gelcoat to a mirror finish. If
this doesn't work, then nothing will! If you call them, I suspect you will even be able to get some free samples from them - probably enough to
do your car!
Application Guide for Farecla products
As twybrow says, G3 will work well. When I had boats I used Starbrite products, made for the job Link, but I think G3 will be just as good.
Ive used G3 before. Works well. Used G10 afterwards to bring the shine up.
