Evening all,
I'm trying to find the best way to fit my roll bar. Ideally I'd like to have the bar removable, purely because it'd make access easier
for any work in the future and also, I'd like it powder coated.
Due to how the rear suspension turrets are put together, the is only space for one bolt, but the idea of welding 4 studs onto the 3mm chassis plate
(each side) and then fitting the roll bar the usual way with the 3mm plate welded to the roll bar and nuts fitted?
What does the collective think? Is this feasable? And will it be strong enough more importantly? Just to add, there will be rear stays fitted.
Regards,
Chris
Personally Chris I'd be welding it on. you'll know it's strong then. Just a case of designing the rear stays to add extra strength and
allow access to the components at the rear of the car.
Regards Dan.
A well prepared and applied black gloss can look as good as powdercoat but at least you can touch it in after stone chips unlike powdercoat.
