Does anyone know if for an MOT the headlight and rear light lenses need an E mark on them?

Think E mark would have been required for IVA, which does not necessarily follow for MoT but perhaps and MoT tester could look at compliance with
vehicle construction and use regs?
I would not be surprised that as long as all the lights operate in the correct manner, are in the correct position (or not very obviously too low)
with no cracks or highly faded coloured lenses, and not too weak bulbs and bulbs matched with the same power and type bulb the other side, and
headlamp beam adjusted correctly for main and dip beam, then MoT tester will be happy.
Are you thinking of changing lights? Unless something very unusual you may find what you want will be E marked anyway (and replacement easily
available). E mark may keep an insurance assessor happy for an accident.
