Started making my nose and bonnet buck this weekend. I am hoping to try and build the actual part this weekend coming up- wishfull thinking but it
may happen.
I am thinking of putting on a hood scoop as per my original drawings of almost 4 years ago (alot has changed in the layout since then) This may alow
me to raise the engine an inch or so and drop the ride height.
Comments - suggestions?

I think it would look better without a bonnet bulge/scoop to be honest...
IMO Obviously!

With Steve here - Bonnet bulge and scoop (unless done in a highly contemporary style) would spoil the overall 'grace' of the car.
If you need to raise the engine then try and raise the entire bonnet and scuttle to keep the line.
If you need cooling then how about some side louvres like the teardrop ports on late model spitfires (planes not cars)? You could do them forward
facing for a ram effect if you air intake will be sided...
Wouldn't worry too much about ride height - Unless you are on a track the difference is barely noticeable for most road based jollies
IMHO
p.s. Going to be a beaut!
Almost done the buck- hope to make the part this weekend. The grill will be made to bolt to the front of the flat surface on the front of the nose
instead of inset.

Dale, that looks bl**dy marvellous, well done. I look forward to seeing the whole thing together!

PS your original design scoop does look a bit 'fat' but something on those lines does add interest to the bonnet line & is not out of
place IMHO (FWIW)
