I am after some vents to fit into my bonnet to let a bit of the heat out.
Has anyone seen some nice vents anywhere, or better still fitted some to their car?
Cheers,
David
Stevec has metro ones, look good imo.
then there are escort rs turbo, fiesta turbo, maserati 3200GT, bmw z3 side vents, naca ducts from carbon mods.
Team Hellfire made some nice mercedes slk inspired ones.
Depends if you want production ones or after market.
Bonnet vents always worry me a bit in a seven.
as a scrutineer once pointed out to me, with bonnet vents if you have an under bonnet fire whilst driving along, you tend to get a face full of
flames
Just a thought

Car Builder Solutions have a few in their catalogue on page 56 that you might like the look of.

I'm thinking of fitting some into the side of the main body tub rather than the bonnet due to the previously mentioned fire risk (doing a Plato)
with an aeroscreen
What about some of these David?
Steve.
Home made again...
Overheating usually occurs whilst in stationery/slow moving traffic. As heat rises, it seems logical to place the vents at the highest point above the
engine.
I guess there is a risk of fire but if you considered all the risks in an effort to negate them, you'd never build any type of car. The secret is
to do your own risk assessment. We considered the risk of a fire occurring as highly unlikely.

Pair of these would look good.

Isn't there a thing where a flame won't pass through a gauze, or is that something different?
Steve.

David. Did you see the ones that Mike has on his Viento? (Sundays meet)
The vent he has might suit your car as they are black.

Yes and no - there's the yes like a bunsen burner and the gauze which the flame doesn't pass through ....... and the no where high pressure fuel is squirting all over the place and coming through the mesh

I like this myself. This is what I'd like, if I ever get that far.
