Hi

looking a bit of help with fitting the front wheel arches as I am finding it difficult to come up with a way that would give me an accurate template for cutting.

what methods have people used to get the cutting correct ?

thanks

First thing you need to decide is what shape you'd like them, how long and how close to the tyre you'd like to fit them.

After bending your wing stays to give you the required height from the tyre, put some masking tape on the wings and cut them to the desired length and make sure they're both equal Drill and file holes in the wings to mount them in the position you want. Put the wheels on and see how they look/fit around the tyre. Mark on the wings where you'd like to cut them and then remove them and cut them down to size. Finish the edges off with some wet n dry and then put them back on using PU adhesive to stick them in position.

One of the biggest factors in determining the shape of the wings, will be whether you want to be able to remove the wheel without removing the cycle wing or not.
