Not the best picture but i have my pump fitted behind the diff

pump is near diff under the tank - ish
filter is in engine bay

now if i did it again then i'd filter it before the pump and then a 1 way filter valve in the engine bay

stops that annoying pump going to fill the pipe and then the filter before i can think of starting it

If you are building your car now, why don't you put a standard Suzuki fuel pump in the bottom of your tank. this will be a very good position and will allow you to use only one fuel line to the engine.
i modified mine over this winter and the result is that i now have a much neater supply and i have an accurate fuel gauge because the Suzuki pump also has a sender.
You can fit a high pressure fuel filter outside the tank immediately as the pipe comes out of the pump.
You will not need to use a pressure regulator as the pump regulates in the tank.

Pics in my blog below if interested. Best place i thought it would go is below the left driveshaft on the chassis rail, I made two pump sized brackets in ally strip and bolted it to the chassis. Also used chassis foam for a tighter grippy fit.

I did the same as Adam, but used rubber lined P clips


Description

Mines about the same place as the one above with a filter before and another up in the engine bay.

Mine being carbs, gravity fills the pump to give it an easier time.
