Nice one
Just in time for the sun too!
Just had a 45min blast to coast and back it was great, welll worth wait although a Few bits i noticed.
1) Diff/rear end is a little noisy but im told i will here it a little and its normal, i just worry after the last diff seized on me going to sva and
its very very difficult to check oil level.(ideas welcome)
2) there is a small leak which i think is gearbox but it might have had too much oil in, also very difficult too check due to location (ideas
welcome)
2) Engine runs at 105 degrees, but does creap up a lot in traffic, 110, 115 - more cooling required but what, i had fan on all the time,
3) the arches are already loose and starting to come off, how have people secured theres?
4) Car could do with a better tune, throttle responce is poor too much throttle early and it bogs down, but goes like stink when power put on.
5) speedo dont work, at all
6) overrun on engine when key removed
its also very difficult too drive at low speed in traffic, 1st gear is too bouncy and 2nd is difficult with poor responce off throttle.
Kris
right off out too see family
congrats!!!
Well done Kris,i look forward to finaly see'ing it
with no plates on.
Dont worry about the diff, its solid mounted to the chassis and you're
sitting on top of it.I can hear mine as well.
The speedo must have been working to pass iva,so it can't be much.Is it electronic or mechanical?

Is that number plate legal?
I understood that stick on's were not allowed and they have to be vertical.

i'm rubbish at explaining things
Nice one Kris!
Bet you had a ball at the coast!!
Mike
Your intake lengths look far to long, no bell mouth on the ends, this will cause some issues.
fab one
i miss mine so much

Well if you want,we can have a look at the magnets tomorrow Kris.
Andy
Cool, that would be great.
more pics from tonight.....
Matty wiping his face, bit chilly without a helmet or glasses at 70mph
Looks like fun...gotta be a blast to drive, even in cold weather!
what's that grey panel on the body next to the exhaust?
Mnr put that panel on for iva I think, I don't like the look of it, guess they thought Exhaust was a bit close to body work- what's peoples thoughts id like to remove it but don't want melting to occur, there is a cat built in front of that silencer so it does get a tad warm.
i had to wrap my exhaust with heat wrap, as the bodywork would start to go very soft from the heat
Looking good Kris
Have you had the car on a rolling road to check fuel and ignition set-up? Sounds like you could benefit from a session if not.
Not sure what the usual Zetec running temp is, but 105 seems a little high. Definitely no air trapped in the system etc? Might sound daft, but the
fan is working the right way; i.e sucking/bowing air the right way over the rad?
Oh yes is working right way, get warm feet when its on.
opened that vent in the bonnet too see if that little bit off air rushing over head with aid cooling at engine nearly touches top of bonnet.

I mentioned this before, will probably be making max torque at idle, lol.
