Drums to Discs problems
JoaoCaldeira - 30/5/06 at 01:02 PM

Hi all.

I've just received the calipers sliders, but I have a 6mm gap from the slider to the adaptor plate.

What should I do? What am I doing wrong?

Rears before disc / adapter plate

You can see the gap between the slider and the adaptor plate

Is the disc located properly?
I haven't done one of these, but I suggest making another spacer plate for the two lugs. You could use bushes, but make sure they are thick enough to stop any flex in the bolts.
Another option is to make a spacer to go behind the adapter plate or make a thicker adapter plate. This would be the best and strongest option.

I agree with this. Looks like your hub is sticking out of the carrier 6mm.

Thanks a lot.
Indeed it was not fully pushed. I bit of... forced pesuation was needed, but it is all right now.

Thanks again.

dont forget to torque the nuts to the correct setting and keep checking them for the first 200 miles as with new bearins etc they can come loose
