Just started to try and work out what is required as far as wiring - a couple of questions.
Has everyone used the R1 relays or got separate ones?
There does not seem to be any wiring in the loom for a rear mounted fuel pump - or have I missed something?
Cheers Greg
Use the R1 relays. There's only one relay you'll need to change and that's the flasher relay (upgrade to a car one) if you're
using the head light / clock loom and R1 clocks.
There are four connections to the fuel pump. Power (2) and level signal (2).
Keep looking it's there

the fuel pump connectors are a white and a green plug both twin wired
Hi.
I'm also using a Inj R1.
Are you using the MNR wiring loom?
If so, just cut the white and purple wire out of the relay box, and put a relay using the ECU signal / ground. That way the bike ECU will control the
pump using the car loom
Joao
Hi Joao
I understand what you are saying and I have the MNR loom but there do not seem to be any wires running to the back of the car for the fuel pump.
On my loom the purple & white wire for the pump terminates at the front so I think I will have to run separate wires to the back of the car which
is a mess when the loom is all installed
Greg
That's odd as my loom definately has fuel pump wiring
mine 2 deffo had fuel pump wiring black +white/purple although on wrong side exiting loom on o/s
Maybe there's something wrong with it or made to a different spec... mine also has the purple (and a black) ending near the halfshaft...
Best call Marc...
Cheers,
Joao
earlier cars had the fuel pump mounted in the engine bay hence the wires at the front, on the newer looms there is also fuel pump wiring at the rear
alowing both options, on the wiring instructions there should be a section at the rear detailing which wires can be found in the engine bay, cabin
area and rear this should help you in knowing wheather you have the new or old loom
best regards
