Hi all,
Just a quick question. What is the best technique for fitting the rubber SBA bonnet catches?
Cheers

don't know if it helps or is correct but this is what I did
Got the mounting hole dimensions off the instructions and marked them onto a strip of ali. Drew a line across to show the bonnet/side panel join. so
you end up with two holes above the line and two below.
Work out where you want the catches and put masing tape over areas on side panel and bonnet.
Offer up ali strip and align datum line with bonnet/side panel joint. Check vertical with a spirit level and mark the masking tape with pencil;
through the holes in the ali strip.
Check that the holes are low enough on the side panel so as not to clash with the upper chassis rail.
If happy drill the 4 holes and bolt the catch and keeper and repeat the process another 3 times.
Hope that helps
Nigel
Similar too ^^^^^^^^^
I also did a test run on a block of wood to see if it felt "right".
They are also slightly looser when warm so I erred on the tight side when I fitted them in the "cooler months"!!
Cheers. There was no instructions so don't have the dimensions. I will do as you suggest and do a trial fit on something unimportant.
As ever, thanks for the advice.

Destructions for catches are HERE Courtesy of
Hellfire's.
I check each time I do them on a block of wood as it's the quickest and you can feel the tension the best.
