filter location

I'm just starting to fit my fuel lines and was wondering if there was any specific place i should be locating my inline metal canister fuel filter?

It could go near the tank or up front on the passenger footwell bulkhead.

Does it matter where it goes?

cheers
Steve

i'd guess as close to engine as possible, its unlikely but if the fuel lines were ever likely to break down it'd save injectors?only a guess like!

nope. anywhere post pump pre injectors for the metal canister filters (high pressure filters I believe).

Mines at the back straight after the injection pump. There is also a small low pressure filter at the tank outlet.

At the back near the fuel pump is good. If you get leaks (from joints) or when replacing it you will get some drips. Best to keep that fuel away from the hot and electrically active engine bay area.

i stand corrected!

Fuel should be filtered just as it leaves the tank.
