So how does this one work and how to plumb it.
Advertised as injection swirl pot. I can't fit one of the more common swirl pots (too big) and really need one as i
want to convert from carbs to throttle bodies.
It looks like a diesel filter housing to me

i would say that your an inlet short on that pot,
the bottom i would connect to hi pressure pump,
inlet top right to comes from low pressure pump and the return from the fuel rail which would need to be t- pieced in.
the other smaller on on the top left is the return to the tank
I would also say that it doesn't olook very big at all, ideally you need it to be at least 1litre, preferrably about 1.5 litres. the
advertisement says that it only has a capacity of half a litre.
Plus £100 seems very excessive when you can get ones that are three times the capacity for about £60-£70. If you can get some dimensions together,
give Bryn @ Alifab a call, im sure he could whip something up for you.

It looks to be, that the tank feed and return go on the top 2 fittings, and the feed to the engine comes from the bottom fitting. You use the brass nut/bung on the top to bleed the air out of the bowl when first filling.

Yes, that's exactly how it is. I've got one of them. They can be quite expensive, haven't checked out the link yet because it'll
probably make me cry if it's cheaper....
Nice little swirl pots. And it's got a low pressure filter built into the body too.... Not the biggest swirl in the world as said but then I
never see why people need swirl pots with capacities in the litres. Surely it just protects against transient poor flow from the LP pump and if
you've got a baffled / sumped tank what's the worry?
And if you don't want to T it you can take out the bolt on the top and screw in a return line- that's what I've seen done (can't
remember whose car it was but it was at one of the AceCafe kit meets)....
Thanks for the confirmation, they seem quite expensive yes, but for me it's more to keep the current feulling in place and only need to add a low pressure return line to the tank, don't want to replace the whole circuit to add a high pressure line all the way up to the front, would also need a different tank if not using a swirl pot as the pickup is currently meant for carbs (8mm pipe instead of 12mm compared to fuel injection pump)

I'll have to have a study at some of my old filter housings, in the shed.
That seller is very good, I bought some carb jets from him a while ago, really good customer service. If you have any doubts give him a call, he's knowledgable, friendly and helpful.
I've read(in ppc) about the use of a VAGroup fuel filter with built in regulator when fitting bike tb's. It looks similar to the one
pictured above but with a reg housing on top which the return goes to.
I've not got the Mann filter part number to hand but the whole unit is £30max(cheaper off eBay).
Does anyone have experiences of such a device?
Is there a problem with running the whole fuel system at high pressure?
I was just looking at your diagram - I though the return from the fuel rail usually went back to the tank, otherwise you are circulating the same fuel
round a loop and warm it up quite nicely, especially if you arent using much fuel.
