magneti marelli iaw ECU - can I use it ?

I have acquired a magneti marelli IAW ECU and connector from a Fiat twin cam. It appears to be a complete stand alone ECU, albeit an OEM version. But as far as I can tell it should be able to run as a stand alone ECU and be remapped.
So is it worth keeping onto it to use on a future project as an alternative to Megasquirt? Or is it so obscure to connect to for remapping that its a lost cause?
I hate throwing stuff away. And its got a nice shiney box

Not that reliable from my experience and my daughters Punto.

This is an earlier IAW 4S1, which as far as I can tell is completely different to the newer type as fitted to Punto / Bravo / Cinquecento / Seicento etc.

Its apparently the same as used on Integrales.

Personaly I would let it go to someone who needs it rather than wants it.

It's only worth keeping only if you can calibrate it to your sensors and remap it on a PC
