Hi all,
I've given up on my Innovate MTX wideband O2 controller/gauge. It worked fine for more than three years then started eating sensors like there
was no tomorrow. Don't want to be spending big bucks on top-of-the range gear but also don't want to be wasting money on rubbish. What would
you folks recommend and how much should I expect to pay?
I've seen AEM and APSX units and wonder if anyone has experience of them.
Cheers,
Paul.
Sorry for the duplicate post,
Just saw a recent one asking the same questions.
Looks like Spartan might be worth a look.
Cheers,
Paul.
I’ve used Spartan on my last 3 builds, not had a problem yet.
Its as cheap to buy from Phil at ExtraEFI as to go direct to the States.
Sounds good Pete,
Do you run a gauge with it? if so, what type?
Cheers,
Paul
If my gauge started to eat sensors I would suspect a small water leak into one of the cylinders.
I used a gauge on my 1st build, but found it distracring when driving, so the last 2 I didn’t bother.
There is a lot of water produced at cold start up and the sensor is located at around 5 o'clock on a horizontal pipe. It's a Westfield manifold with the standard sensor location. I might consider relocating the sensor mounting.
