Major Stare - 1/4/06 at 05:54 PM

Started to wire the EDIS and MegaSquirt today but got stuck on the PIP & SAW from the EDIS (see pic below)

Where do these to wires go on the MS (see 2nd picture)

Confused

Looks like you need another diagram for a Megasquirt that runs MegaSquirtnSpark

The original megasquirt (which the diag is from) never had support to run the EDIS

They would wire into the aditional modified circuitry that is used in the Megasquirt N Spark

Hi Major Stare!

I am currently doing just the same job at the moment.

You need to read THIS page in great detail and make sure you have the mods done to your Megasquirt and follow the instructions about which pins to use.

Cheers
Chris

Oh dear

If anyone can point me in the right direction id appreciate it

So pin number 1 on the EDIS needs to go to pin number 24 on the MS?
And pin number 3 on the EDIS needs to go to pin 36 on the MS? (not shown on MS diag)?

Is this right?

The MS was built for me, on the back it has a sticker saying.....

MS V2.2
FIDLE = EDIS SAW
V3.007 MS"n"EDIS

NO

If you are using FIDLE as your 'SAW' then connect pin 3 on the EDIS to pin 30 on the MS.

Also, these two wires (PIP & SAW) should be screened, with the screening being terminated at the EDIS end only to pin 7.

I'm afraid that Piddy is muddying the waters here in trying to help

The picture poisted above is based on a V3 board that has dedicated output options for SAW but as you stated earlier that the unit you have is V2.2 and that it was labled that FIDLE was SAW then pin 30 stands as the correct connection for your EDIS.
