Wiring injectors and Fidle valve
piddy - 25/6/06 at 04:58 PM

There are two spade connections on each injector and also on the fast idle valve.
Do these have to be wired up in a set way or can the live be connected to either?

How does the fast idle valve work? It has the power wires etc. Then two pipes that connect to the vacuum system if these were connected together and then a T fitted which connects to the vacuum system would it work?

I hope this makes some sense.

Injectors don't have a polarity so you can wire them either way, it makes no difference.

Wiring for the idle valve varies depending on what it came from, some do matter which way they are wired up and some don't. Either way, connecting the two air ports together is not the way to go, it wouldn't do anything at all if you did that. You need to connect one port each side of the throttle body, i.e. one port goes to the inlet manifold, and one goes to between the throttle and the air filter.

So that will be a solenoid type then I believe (either on or off)
It shouldnt matter which way round this type is connected.
