Ford injectors

Does any one no what the biggest ford injectors that would fit to a standard mk5 escort zetec fuel rail i have mk5 xr3i 130ps ones at the mo which i think are 175cc but i want to go bigger on my 20l zetec id like to go over bigger bosh ones but my manifold sweeps up for my tbs and gets in the way.

I've got a set of 370cc side feed injectors already fitted in a zetec fuel rail that I was going to use in my Zetec Turbo conversion. No longer needed as I changed the inlet manifold, so they're going spare if you're interested. They even come with the injector plugs and about 3 ins of cable (injector plugs are different to ford ones - nothing is ever THAT easy... :-)

Make me an offer!

Just make sure you check the resistance of the injector.
IIRC Ford injector drivers usually require a low resistance injector. Lots of other manafacturers use high resistance....

Most Ford ECUs need high impedence injectors (including the Zetec ECU). As far as I know it's only the Cosworth YB that uses low impedence injectors.

The standard zetec injectors are high impedence, so are the 370cc ones that I have.

Fair enough!! After writing it I wondered why they hadn't gone high resistance at some point.... Looks like they did!!

Not that you are going to be stupid enough to try and run 370cc injectors on the standard zetec ECU......???

It could provide interesting results.... I'm guessing that as he is running TB's, he's not got the original Ford ECU (which uses a MAF, I think?)

Stunning looking car though. I'm very tempted by one of those at the moment.

car is runnings ms. do you think that 370cc ones will be to big on a standard 20l zetec and do you think that i would notice a lot of difference using bigger ones it seems to go ok but i still think i can squeeze a bit more out of it ps thanks for your replies. Also please send me a pm with what sort of money you are looking for for those injetors.

It'll run alright, but you may find the idle will get a bit tempermental with injectors that big as the pulsewidths will get very small.

What duty cycle are your current injectors running up to at the moment?
