running ESC ignition and bike carbs

ive had a busy day making up zetec manifold for my ZX9 carbs (bit rough but works), thinking of trying to run the ignition on a Escort ESC ignition module firstly rather then megajolt, does the ESC map run a safe map for a 130bhp 2litre zetec? or should i just got for the TPS megajolt?

You need to run a vacume conection to the Esc for it to alter the advance/retard of the ignition. So it is better suited to a single carb.

Ive run a zetec on the esc, but it's not perfect The advance curve is set for an 8v engine.

That said one of the guys on here ran one for quit a bit on his zetec escort.

Buy the Mjl to start with imho

If you have the ESC I would give it a go but I'd defo recommend a Megajolt.

However I've found mine starts and runs pretty good with no ECu at all, just getting the 10 degrees from the EDIS! Not driven it like that mind

Yes, I got my car through the SVA test and drove it for a while with just an EDIS until I fitted a Megajolt.
