I understand that I've got to earth the side stand switch for the engine to spark but do I earth both wires or just the green wire?

? how could the switch have 2 earths?

surely ones live and ones the earth, how about just connecting them togeather and seeing if it will start?

Hi if its the earlier blade engine and ecu you've got, the light green wire is the neutral, and the green / white wire is the side stand and they both must be earthed for the engine to run

How about earthing it via a hidden switch and using it as a simple form of imobiliser.
