You will need to check if your version of speedohealer can be calibrated by 200%. The pic above seems to show v4

Can you add a magnet (if thats how your speed pickup works)?

Good luck with your retest

What you need to do is reset your speedohealer to wipe the memory (turn of ignition, set all switches to ON, turn on ignition, press button once, set all switches to OFF).

Then check the actual speed v indicated.

What I did was then have a crack at various %age reductions until I got within tolerance.

What I worked out is:

Switch 4 reduces by 10's of %'s
Switch 5 reduces by 1%'s
Switch 6 reduces by 0.1%'s

So, if you need to reduce by 65 %, do the following:

Turn off ignition
Set all switches to ON
turn on ignition
press button once
Set all switches to OFF except no.4
press button 6 times
set switch 5 ON, 4 OFF
press button 5 times
set switch 5 to OFF

That will give a 65% reduction - you should be able to follow the pattern from there to try different adustments to hone in on the correct reading. You must reset the unit every time and adjust on a comparison of the base eadings, not the adjusted readings

Hope that makes sense/helps in any way.

Actually I've just realised I have to drop my son off at my In-Laws early at morning (Scarborough) so if you're still having troubles I could tak a detour and give you a hand if you need it.

Hi Thanks for the replies

I have been on the sites and my heeler is either V1 0r V2

So I'm not sure how much adjustment I I have with this version

As for magnets I went from 8 to 4 to get the speedo to read a steady speed and not jump all over the place.

Having looked at the calcs I'm going to try more magnets to get within the calibration range or buy a V4 heeler

Any tips on getting the magnets exactly right !
