Incorrectly flashing hazards
james h - 10/8/09 at 11:54 AM

When I put the hazards on, they don't go completely on/off, i.e. they go dim, bright, dim, bright.

Is this due to feedback? How can I solve this? My indicators seem to work normally. (I have LED lights btw)

Thanks

James

shouldn't be feedback. leds will only work with the current flowing 1 way (they are light emitting diodes)
dodgy flasher relay maybe?

I really really hope its not (this is my second LED relay now). Seems to work fine for indicating, so I would have thought it would be ok for the hazards (but I don't know too much about electrics to be honest)

no, i don't know much on electrics either, but i know leds only let current flow 1 direction, since they're diodes.
if 2 flashers are doing the same thing, it must be a wiring fault. maybe someone who knows can come round for a look

Yeah now I think about it, LEDs inherently sound like feedback shouldn't happen...
