STACK 8100 display

Has anyone succesfully used another type of Wheel Speed Sensor or does it have to be STACK;s own branded Wheel Proximity Sensor so that the display can read it? This is the one being advertised for the dash but could I use a more cost effective one

Any help would be useful,

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks but as I'm running a BEC I need a wheel speed sensor as oppose to a sensor to the gearbox. Will keep my fingers crossed.

These are generally just industrial induction proximity sensors that have had a large margin whacked on top.

The trick is to find the spec of the original ie NPN / PNP, supply voltage, sensing distance and then buy from Farnell or eBay. That's what I did for my Speedo when I picked up a suitable sensor for £4 instead of £60.
