Afternoon all,

Has anyone got a wiring diagram for the Hazards, Indicators & the flasher relay please.

Cheers

Alex

Alex, what is wrong with your loom then or have you binned it?

Alex there are a couple of pics in my archive if there any use to you.

What switch gear and relay are you using?

My old loom was a vicki green (which is sh*t) i have virtually rewired the entire car now, just have digi dash & dash swicthes left & one of the buttons if for indicators.

Are you using an indicator stalk or a switch on the dash?

Nicked this somewhere down the line!

Any good?

Cheers

You can do it with one relay for both Hazz and ind.

I have used diodes to make sure the 2 circuits remain isolated.

Indicator switch is a 3 position one and the hazard is a savage one.

Got a diagram somewhere if you need it.

I kinda fancy using a regular hazard switch, which eliminates the need for two relays.

Posted this a while ago:
31 - Earth
49 - +12V
49a - Indicator Feed

A Sierra uses a single flasher relay, the fairly complex hazard switch handles the circuits and power feed to the relay.
Here's the bit from my wiring that handles indicator and hazard lights. My car's wiring is based on a Mk2 Escort , but the Sierra is pretty similar afaik.

I've got a hazard switch from a Land Rover, the Ford ones have merged 49 and 30b, I'm connecting the two anyway.

The system works like this:
In normal operation a switched +12v is fed to the flasher relay. The relay's 49a feed runs to the indicator stalk and the stalk connects the indicator feed to either the left or right circuit.
In hazard operation the hazard switch connects a continuous +12v to the flasher relay (it needs to work without the ignition switched on) and connects the 49a feed to both left and right circuits. Also the integrated hazard light obviously needs an earth connection to function (31).
I've used two diodes to create a single dash indicator light. I probably could have used the earth connection on the flasher relay, but I'm not sure if that would work (now I think of it again, it probably would work).

the two relay shwon have three pins each.
Any idea what relays these are so i can try this circuit.
