I am in the process of tidying up my wireing, under the dash,
what can i use for to indentify each wire, as most of mine is either red or yellow
i was thinking along the lines of little numbers on each wire, but were can i get them ?
and what are they called !!

B&Q do stick on numbers in the Wireing Accessories section.
Other than that places like RS components do the permenant ones you slip on over the end of the wire before putting the terminal on the end or
connecting etc but are no good for retro-fitting.
Or a Dynamo type label printer can be good for identifying cables with a code to keep it short or a lable of what the wire actually is.

Electrical wholesalers stock cable marking systems that consist of as plastic holder with ten rolls of numbered adhesive tapes in; 0 - 9. I have used
them for years.

Made by 3M and work well but for on a car you need to cover with a clear heat shrink sleeve to protect the tape from moisture. Oops no you don't
these new ones are polyester.
