Morning all,
Fitted starter yesterday (after alot of grining of the ally tray) and started to fit all the power cables. So, my question for today is, what fuse box
are you gus using? I already have a Premier loom with its own 2 fuse box's so just need to add one to take power in from the battery. What size
will I need.
Any links, pics welcome as always!!
Thanks
Andy
Starter and alternator dont need a fuse. I would use a seperate fuse box from your prem loom for your efi. The last one I did for some one just had a fused feed for a coil and thats not enough for the full efi.
All you need is a 40 amp in-line fuse and install it into the 4mm red wire that supplies the loom.
You don't need to fuse the starter motor or the charge wire.
I have added another 4 way fuse holder like those Alan fits to his loom switched by a relay which the powers the fuel pump, injectors and coil.
The relay will be controlled by the ECU.
OK, thanks. I have the battery leads as picture below. Im now confusing myself!!
Dont you just love wiring.......
Ok if you want a main fuse to feed the prem loom just get a maga fuse.
That might be an option, on the diagram above tho', where would I connect "E" to?
Yes E to one side of the maga fuse and the prem loom to the other side.

Thanks Warren.
You will still want another fuse box for the mondeo efi. 6 way should do.
Cheer again!! Going to order one this week, then the real fun starts as I attemp to do the wiring. The kids are away next weekend so got all Sat and
Sun to work on it! Bit nervous to be honest!!!
This type is the same as the premier, will this be ok JJC Standard Blade Fuse Box 6 Way Panel Mount FBB6U | eBay

That's fine
As I've mentioned before the Nissan Note has a nice fused thingy on the battery. Contains 4 fused 60 and 80amp (2 of each) outputs along with a
250amp for the starter.
