I didn't do the wiring on my car and behind the dash is terrible.

due to the way the terminals are has anybody found a neat way of wiring them up?

I am thinking of solder and heat shrink most of it the just have spade connectors for the back light connector.

Any other smarter ways?

Photos anyone?

I'm also interested in seeing what people have done.

This was my effort on the last car - soldered on except for the centre two connections for the light. This meant that i could if needed remove the switch without having to de-solder anything. I also had resisters soldered directly onto the side of each switch as i was doing two stage dimming (i.e. 60% brightness when not pressed, 100% brightness when pressed).

Here's mine, not he best, but does the trick.

Neat wiring is difficult.

All the connections are spades and may come off. plus now i know its a mess its bugging me!!

All the connections are spades because they have to come off if you ever need to remove/ replace them.

Only the pins for the back lights need to come off for removal and due to the size and type of spade used (non locking male due to no hole) the universal insulated crimps (red) dont fit very well or lock on fully, pliers have to be sued to ensure a tight fit.

Why would you need to change the back of the switch? If you more it somewhere else on the dash then re route the wire!

have you got the correct sized spade connectors on mate? the connections on mine are very tight.
