Not Locost but you guys no what you are talking about when it comes to legality (or getting round the law).
My dad has just bought a set of Morette style headlamps (note, not real) for the bugeye subaru and they were cheap from america (2nd note, US rules
are different to ours). The sidelights therefore chare a bulb with the indicators meaning they flash with the indicator and the indicator goes on
with the sidelight. Is this legal in the UK or should we seperate them into two bulbs and separate the wiring so that neither come on with the
other??

If they are American do they dip left? Side or position lights should be constant so you may need to modify them. Cut the wire that flashes the sidelight? You could consult a Test station, any MOT tester should put you straight.
IIRC the old style latest generation Ford Transit side repeaters are like this. They illuminate as per sidelight (on the sidof the cab) and when they
indicate they simply increase brightness for the on cycle, and go to sidelights only for the off cycle.
Course just cos Ford do it don't make it legal!
Thanks hellfire, are the indicators white or the sidelights orange??

Adam - I see you are a multi site poster !!
See my answer to your question on the Westfield site (sorry for the "W" word guys).
Your biggest problems is that the lights probably dip to the right
Regards
Steve
Sorry steve, is there something wrong with that??
As the lights positioned on the side of a vehicle have to be orange (ala HGV and volvo's) the sidelights are orange.
